Having Fun with Mom's Family

My Mom's sisters, my aunts, were so sweet to throw a Getting-to-meet-Ivan party on Sunday for that whole side of the family! They even put out this awesome spread of Mexican food!  They were so thoughtful in their present giving - lots of things that will truly help us out with Ivan!  Oh, and the peaches and ice cream were fabulous!

My mom and aunt S took some of the best photos that we're sure to cherish in years to come.

Thank you for the wonderful party!  We were able to see a lot of family that we haven't seen in awhile and they were so sweet!



Almost Eight Weeks Old and Becoming a Chunky Monkey

I'd say we've made some serious progress since day one.




Please check out the fat rolls. We are so very proud of those. He takes after both of us in the chubby baby department. I will report tomorrow as to whether he's doubled in weight yet!

Not the "Photo Shoot" Type of Guy

It started out innocently enough. I wanted to see if this outfit actually fit yet. It looked so huge when it was given to Ivan when he was about three weeks old. It is a little tight now. Oops.

Super cute though.

Aaaaannnnddd, it's done, over. Back to the changing table to remove brown checks and khakis. Onesie can stay as long as immediate nursing commences. We're good now.

Meet & Greet the Family

Ivan met his great aunt and great uncle today! Great aunt S was sweet enough to bring my grandpa up with her! She took a lovely family picture of the three of us!

Peach Picking at the Orchard

Our friend G has an orchard and the peaches were ready! What else was there to do, but grab little man, my parents, and go picking?




See the branches bent with peaches? What? You were looking at the little family? Okay, so we are the focal point in most of these pictures taken by my mom.

This Week in Review

First visit to grandpa J's store. Did not get any paint on him. Starting to fill out the carseat.

Meeting the generation that came before. This gentleman would be C's grandpa's brother, and his lovely wife. That would make this Ivan's great great aunt and uncle.

4th of July

Some fun photos my mom took as we spent the 4th at C's parents' house. I quite like how close our families can be. Does anyone else spend holidays with their significant other's sister's husband's parents? That's what J does for sister B. So sweet.
